树脂是制造塑料的主要原料，树脂也用来制涂料(是涂料的主要成膜物质,如:醇酸树脂、丙烯酸树脂、合成脂肪酸树脂，该类树脂于长三角及珠三角居多，也是涂料业相对旺盛的地区，如长兴化学、纽佩斯树脂、三盈树脂、帝斯曼先达树脂等)、黏合剂、绝缘材料等，合成树脂在工业生产中，被广泛应用于液体中杂质的分离和纯化，有大孔吸附树脂、离子交换树脂、以及一些专用树脂。
Resin is the main material for making plastics. Resin is also used to make coatings (such as alkyd resin, acrylic resin and synthetic fatty acid resin). These resins are predominant in the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta. They are also relatively prosperous areas in the coatings industry, such as Changxing Chemistry, Newpes Resin, Sanying Resin and Dis. Mancinda resins, adhesives, insulating materials, and synthetic resins are widely used in industrial production for the separation and purification of impurities in liquids, including macroporous adsorption resins, ion exchange resins and some special resins.
